What is coaching?
Coaching is a partnership-based process of working through personal or career-related blockages and self-development. Coaching is not therapy, so we only work with the 'healthy' part of the client, in cases of mental disorder or significant past stuckness, I recommend the use of a psychologist. In coaching, we work in the present to build the future, using open questions, active listening, mindful presence and creative tools to guide my clients to find their answers within themselves.
In my work, I take an integrative approach, applying the theories and methods I have learned in my studies in psychology and family therapy. My mission is to help my clients achieve fulfillment in both their personal and professional lives. I believe that a balanced and successful life begins with self-awareness, which is the only way to become aware of our true desires and goals and to discover the resources needed to fulfill them.

Coaching methods tend to focus on the present and the future, the main question is "how". As we like to say, in coaching we are building your future based on your present situation. Of course we are talking about how you got in your current situation, but this is not our main focus.
Psychologists often focus on exploring past events, adressing the root causes of emotional or behavioural problems. The main question is "why", but of course there are also many questions reflecting on the solutions of your problem.
In coaching we support individual or group development, helping you achieve your goals. We are working with the "healthy" part of our clients.
A psychologist focuses more on mental health and behavioural problems. They help individuals or groups deal with emotional or mental difficulties such as anxiety, depression, trauma or behavioural problems.
Coaching takes less time, usually between 6-8 weeks or a few months. We are action-oriented, which means we are focusing on building a strategy to get "from point A to point B."
Working with a psychologist takes more time, usually from a few months to a few years, since it aims to explore and unblock deeper blockages that have been present for several years or even decades.
